She knows.
She understands.
She takes action.
She leads change.
We advance women’s holistic hormonal health, from menstruation through menopause in underserved communities, small towns and emerging cities. We empower women to translate hormone health knowledge into selfcare actions, build grassroots women's health leaders, strengthen access to responsive care and build evidence to shape policy.
Every girl, every woman knows her body and leads change in her community.
She understands and takes action on her holistic hormonal, menstrual and menopausal health, nutrition and self-care.
Advancing women's hormonal health through the life stages approach
Roots N Her Flow Foundation is an organisation dedicated to women’s holistic hormonal, menstrual and menopausal health. Our approach connects practical learning, holistic health and nutrition, self-care and peer support with women's leadership.
We bring women’s experiences into safe space conversations, build dialogues with communities, improve access to health services so the needs shape the care they receive and the policies that affect their lives.
From a girl's first period to menopause, hormones shape growth, health and much more. Yet in low-resource settings, women grow up with silence, myths, stigmas and little access to trusted information and a dearth of spaces where conversations on hormonal transitions, health and nutrition needs can flourish. Pain is normalised and care-seeking is delayed. We change that by building knowledge, confidence and her empowerment to take self-care actions and lead within the community, facilitating safe space circles that support her understanding and growth.

What our community says
“ I feel proud to be a Jeevani. Through this Leadership program, I am learning about different phases in my menstrual cycle. Many women in my village, including my own mother don't know about their health. I hope to bring that awareness. ”
“ I loved The Flowscape meet-up. I was alone in the city. This space made me bond with women and I felt that the pain I went through in my periods, I am not alone. ”
“ No one told me about Follicular or Luteal phases. I am barely learning to pronounce them. But as we learn, it will help me first understand my body, my health and I will then take the learnings to my community. ”
“ So many women in my area come with problems of PCOS and Thyroid. I don't know what to tell them. But in the training, I learnt so well about what exactly happens in the body. Now that I know I can't explain properly to the women who come to me. ”
